Dear, Mr. Principal
If you are going to add 2 more curriculum classes I think you should add a coaching class and a sports and medicine class. There are so many athletes that get hurt all the time, career ending injuries, and most athletes don’t know what to do after that and there life just goes to waste. With some athletes because sports is there life everything about their life involves sports they don’t know what to do and/or never figure out what to do. With these two classes it gives athletes a chance to explore their options and introduce them to something that involves sports they might be able to make a career out of it and if they enjoy it. It will give the athlete the ability to not have to stop being involved with their sport. I have a couple friends that absolutely love the game of football but they got injured were they can not play football anymore and would love to still be involved in football, my dad was a amazing football player he started for a 7A school as a sophomore and his junior year he injured his kidneys and that was the end of his football career, and he wanted to stay involved and end up being a coach but didn't get to have that option.
There is hundreds of thousands of athletes that get injured and the majority of these injuries are career ending injuries. They then get let go of the team. With these 2 classes they can enter these classes to figure out how to coach, or they can learn sports and medicine and become a trainer for a sports team, and then soon when college rolls around they will know what they want to go to college for and they can pursue their coaching career or sports and medicine career in college. soon after college they can say they are eligible to become a coach because they have the knowledge to become one, or a trainer because they have the knowledge to become one.
With these 2 classes being added it will give the opportunity for athletes to even see if they want to coach or sports and medicine for the rest of their life. Some kids get to college on a certain scholarship and end up not wanting to do it and lose their scholarship. A lot of athletes want to become coaches after their athletic career ends, and then figuring out its too much responsibilities and end up not wanting to do that for the rest of their life. With these 2 classes they can see if they want to actually do that for the rest of their lives.
These 2 classes would come in handy for athletes. Athletes are not gonna play sports forever and they know that they will need something to fall back on. All the athletes I know want to stay invovled with sports and these 2 classes would help them fulfill their goals after sports.
